Look for something that looks like it will entertain you
Pick a show that involves warfare and books
Watch the first season of a sequel or read the wiki and pretend you watched it.
Pick a show, find manga(Light novel,VN, or original version) of that show and read the manga
Cast away everything in your head that will tell you it will suck or be great
I did all of this and now I have a few shows to watch in Fall.
