I like how simple they are. Some people make their graphics all special effect-y (not a word DX), so it's nice to see a cxhange. Especially a change that's so well done.

Well I think you should try to make the sprites blend in better with the backround, because now it just looks like you basically threw together a background, a sprite and text. You know what I mean? (I don't really know how to say stuff like this XD)
Look at the Brushel sig,
it looks pretty empty because.. well there's not much to look at.
Just play around with brushes and try to make it look like.. a whole.
Downloading fonts isn't wrong either, since without downloading them you don't have much to choose from.
And you should try to find colors that go well together, the Trucy and Ema ones look very.. rainbow-y.
Aaaand try using other colors instead of black and white for the text so it's easier to read them.
People get better with practice, so you shouldn't give up on it.

Not bad, so far. The Franziska sig is good, although maybe adding some creative brushing and/or a border would really make it nice.

But...the "Trucy Wright Hates Carrying A Bag" thing is a bit off, the text is a little hard to read since the background is already a bright color, I think a darker text color would do the trick
