I remember that Mask*Demasque from Metrocon. She even had the Sacred Urn!

I've never personally seen a Manfred von Karma cosplayer, though I've seen a few pictures. I cosplay Franziska, so I'd love to do a photo op one day. A Manfred with a (fake) taser would be epic.

I would run from a Hotti cosplayer. *shudders*

The baby looks pretty much unbothered to me ... But I also think that babies aren't really for cosplaying. I mean, they can't even act the characters out, and can't decide on the cosplay. They have to wear what the parents want them to. It's funny for one or two pics, but that's it.

Spark Brushel? Not yet, but I've seen the Japanese cosplayers doing pretty much every character, including Moe the Clown, Bat, Ron DeLite and others, minor or major. So I'm sure someone out there has cosplayed Spark Brushel and is most likely Japanese.

Yeah, very likely japanese.

Well, the baby in the picture you showed... it has tears at the bottom of it's eyes... :/ maybe the visor made it's eyes water? I dunno...

Hmmm... Yeah... Japanese are always great at their cosplaying... maybe not always percice to the character's body types, but their costumes are always class A... :3

That's what I observed as well. The costumes are great, but a slim, small and androgynous looking Gant just doesn't do it for me *g*

At Manifest, I saw a Gant... he looked amazing (and I always figured that since it's a fairly out-there costume and he's got a pretty dubious fanon reputation, I'd next see a Gant cosplayed...)

I went as Dee Vasquez, and no one made the connection. :( The good part was that compulsively smoking, as I do, meant that I was still being in-character. :devasque:

Aww. I know how you feel.
More people recognized my boyfriend as Jake Marshall than me as Dahlia (Iris in Dahlia's clothing), at Otakon. I felt left out at times :( lol.

That's so cool though, I've never seen Dee Vasquez done at all. Do you have any pictures?

Spoiler:

(I'll note, too: first time I've cosplayed, and I threw together the costume in less than four days and on severely limited budgetness. Next time I do something like this, I've sworn I'm going to attempt either Trucy or Edgeworth. :D If I'd had more money and planning time, and my hair as it was before I changed it-- very long and white-blonde-- I'd have dyed it bright red and attempted Dahlia.)

@couton and @ammchan -- Thankyou! :D (And no, I couldn't find the pipe anywhere. Had I had a bit more time I could have bought one on eBay, but it wouldn't have shipped in time for the con. There were a couple of other photos taken where I'm smoking, though. ;) )

@GigaHand: You are officially awesome. I love the costume, but also... a) you have a kid and you're a fan... and b) you dressed your kid up as the Blue Badger? You ROCK.

So Texas must have a high death rate if they shoot all non-cosplayers who don't have a kid by the age of 17. :yuusaku:

Your neighbours would shoot you for cosplaying anyway.

I'm not sure I'm willing to take a final geeky plunge into the border of cosplaying.

I think I'd rather stay borderline geek. :yuusaku:

I'm trying to make a Godot cosplay, and here's the clincher, using my real hair and styling that for to use.

I figure the length and body is just about right, just needs a trim on the sides and some (lots of) gel.
