Back when I played (Reminds me, I need to pick up another copy) I played as Spire or whatever his name was. Wallclimb up to hidden areas and snipe people. Or Alt-Spam in close combat.

I see. You know that Alinos Gateway map? I used to alt wallclimb up to the perch right above the blue health orb nearest to the imperialist orb, and I would start sniping. If I needed health, I'd simply alt so they couldn't hit me and grab the orb when it respawned.

And he's invulnerable to Magma. That's a plus. (But why isn't he invulnerable against the magmaul? Beats me.)

Played as Noxus (ice guy)myself, I liked his spinning top morph-ball. Luckily I got the game fairly early, so there was actually variety in character choices and lack of cheating while I was still playing. Cheating really has ruined the online game.

My overall thoughts on the game is that it's a good shooter, just not a good metroid game.

Noxus and Weavel are both good. Personally, I think Weavel's affinity wep is the worst out of the set, as it takes six parabollically aimed and limited ranged shots to kill another player. However, his Halfturret makes up for that.

Noxus is very good. His charged Judicator, if hit properly, will almost always result in a confirmed kill. Yes!

I still like trace

Considering my brother has the game (and NEVER wants to play) I only use Samus. I was never going to buy a copy, seeing as the online was completely destroyed by Action Replay.

Samus' missiles are cheap, but otherwise she's quite versatile.

Also, the guy who uses lightning isn't using lightning. He's shooting neutrinos at you (which aren't supposed to do damage in the real world, so metroid got their physics wrong.). His name's Sylux. I liked him until I found out that usually, good players can kill you before you can suck them out of life.

Was Action Replay the thing that allowed folks to jump into walls and shoot you from perfect safety?

No, that was just a glitch. Action Replay enabled godmode.
I used to like this game a lot, I mostly played with Samus. I stopped playing it becourse of the cheaters.

I actually use Kanden (that sluggy guy. I think that was his name...)
The glitch was that you played as weavile and *EDIT SHOT YOURSELF INTO THE WALL, NOT SHIT YOUR SELF INTO THE WALL* shot your self in to the wall to be able to snipe people.
Action Replay enabled (Omega Cannon on every level) which pissed me off quite easily.
I use trace when I want to be cheap.
I'm amazing with the imperialist, so I don't need to invisibility.
But anyway... Friend Codes, anybody? I can post my MPH FC when I get home :edgy:

Action Replay is just a cheating device that fucks everything up.

No, it only fucks things up when you're playing humans. Offline, it works like a charm (If you're an evil cheater.)

Oh, and Herr Blondie, the trick you described wasn't facilitated by Action Replay, I don't think. I believe that's just a glitch. Was it in that first map? (Combat hall) or did you see it somewhere else?

Think so...

Narrow area, two levels vertically little tunnels in the side to roll through. Kinda like a rectangle I guess.

But Action Replay just adds a little fun to shooters if you've cleared them already, I got fond memories of using it on a Duke Nukem game I think.

No, I was merely stating that anyone that would have to use an Action Replay (Or any cheating device for that matter) to use that breeding technique of yours would just input a shiny code instead of going through a long drawn out process.

It had nothing to do with the quality of an Action Replay.

Well, when you talk about Metroid Prime Hunters discussions about cheating are kind of unavoidable. The single player is poor, and the game wasn't popular enough for local matches to be commonplace... which leaves you with the online, which in turn is unplayable due to cheating. There's not much you can talk about really.

He's camping scum.

If camping snipers weren't bad enough, Trace encourages it by actually turning invisible.

Trace is cheap, Trace is the cheapest piece of trash I've ever had the misfortune to come up against.

I think it's just that people have a problem with snipers in genral.

But what do I know? I'm basing this off of opinions of this and TF2.

Nobody likes campers.

Their behaviour is cowardly and dull, they get up were no one can get them and sit there.

There's a special circle of hell reserved for campers who aim at spawn points.
And there's nothing more disheartening than being killed by a single headshot from some cowards miles away too scared to use a real man's weapon.

Well unless he manages to make that headshot with a shotgun or an explosive device of some sort, they are totally man weapons :garyuu:

The sniper rifle also happens to compromise our position...

And by the way, I can snipe you while moving. I don't need a perch.

Just because you can doesn't mean you always do, best sniping requires high vantage point. A few games only let you carry one pistol one main gun (sniper) and maybe some explosives. Most snipers will need to shoot on their way to the vantage point.

And it doesn't always compromise your position, said target would probably be focused on killing someone else ground level before bang headshot from somewhere he wasn't looking.

Even if it did, the areas would be quite hard to get to for someone on ground level who has just been shot and an realised there's a sniper after him. He has to get out of the open and avoid it until he can get closer to the 'perch' but all the while he's vulnerable to other players so it may not be worth his time to go after one lowly sniper.

The story mode was pretty bad. I mean...no exploration, confined environments, linear story...

The multiplayer is what made it shine. Unfortunately, the online mode was plagued with evil cheaters.

I hated online cheaters. 5 Star hunters that had invincibility cheats activated, and the omega cannon equipted.
Meh.
The ultimate online battling cheat would be to make an AR code to play as Gorea lol

That would be so obvious though. What they need, though, is a kick function. If all the other players agree to boot someone, then out they go!

Too bad the DS can't receive patches like that.
