Jet packs aren't all that maneuverable and you can't stay in mid-air for too long...

I tend to use Pegasus and Sphinx.

Actually, I tested the blob theory. Put him up against longcat. For over 10 minutes, they fought nonstop so I decided to nuke them with missles. Blob died after two. Longcat was still living after 20. :/

I hear both are invincible, but also have specific weaknesses. Longcat doesn't attack on its own though.

Sphinxes are rather slow for me and Pegasi can't attack opponents. :pearl:

I usually go for pterodactyls, but also reindeer if I need precision or wings if I need smallness.

Or pterodactyl+shrink ray, but that means getting less ollars. Not that there's any shortage.

Yeah, cause without a story or explanation , I can't summon the energy to keep playing...even a half baked story would've been OK. Whyyy can Maxwell summon anything he wants out of thin air?!

I know the fact that it has no story is dissapointing, but at the same time I like it. It sort of harkens back to the days when games didn't need to have a story & all you needed to do was to have fun :)

There's a tripwire which removes a metal block which has a rope attached to a frozen starite. If the starite drops, it falls into a pit of lava. I can't find anything to cover the gap, and I've tried anchoring the starite to a building. In order to approach the starite I have to trip the tripwire. Just running as fast as I can won't work because I also have to thaw the starite before I can collect it. If I thaw it behind the tripwire, it'll fall into the lava (not that I've found any way to thaw it from behing the tripwire).

EDIT: ...I managed to kill god. With a sword.

Let the ice drop. It covers the gap, and when the lava burns it, attach some rope to the rope and haul the starite back.

The way I did it was use Pipe or drain and place it at the edge above the lava so the starite will fall on it...

I managed to do it by attaching ballons to the ice, tripping the wire, blasting the ice and making a leap of faith.

Also, I like this game's randomness. I stopped a cement truck with a whale.

There's the problem of not being able to put in hilarious proper nouns (Like George W. Bush).

And the problem of never being able to use nukes without losing.

If you set up a black hole right between Maxwell and the ice block, the black hole will pull them both in at the same time. The ice will break as it collides with the black hole, and Maxwell should automatically grab the starite and win the level before the black hole can kill him.

Once you get used to the controls, they become much more bearable than first impressions may lead you to believe.
