.Jet packs aren't all that maneuverable and you can't stay in mid-air for too long...
I tend to use Pegasus and Sphinx.

Also blob beats everything, and you have to grab the centers of black holes. And try making an MRL (multiple rocket launcher).
Actually, I tested the blob theory. Put him up against longcat. For over 10 minutes, they fought nonstop so I decided to nuke them with missles. Blob died after two. Longcat was still living after 20. :/
I hear both are invincible, but also have specific weaknesses. Longcat doesn't attack on its own though.

Sphinxes are rather slow for me and Pegasi can't attack opponents.

The way I did it was use Pipe or drain and place it at the edge above the lava so the starite will fall on it...

If you set up a black hole right between Maxwell and the ice block, the black hole will pull them both in at the same time. The ice will break as it collides with the black hole, and Maxwell should automatically grab the starite and win the level before the black hole can kill him.
Once you get used to the controls, they become much more bearable than first impressions may lead you to believe.

He means that if you lock Maxwell in a fridge or something he can't move until you make him leave. You can use this as a failsafe.
