A bit more information is usually given to fan games otherwise they simply won't be recognized. (Recognized as in popular, commented on etc.) Some information to include is case details, character information especially in your case as you are using an Ace Attorney OC so most of us know nothing of him. And more information is required along with What you need. You should include full character descriptions, expressions etc.

I saw that you don't have a casemaker yet. To prevent arguing, I'll list the positive and negative qualities of each casemaker available.

PWlib: Pwlib is a successful casemaker that uses a hard to learn but easy after a while scripting language. It simulates the majority of AA effects (even the minor ones) and already, several fan games are planned on it. The most notable is Remnants of the Past. The negative qualities of PWlib is that as I said, the scripting language is hard to grasp at the start but luckily there is a tutorial and the next release (1.2) will feature Shinku which will make development much easier.

Pywright: Another major casemaker. It's a popular choice with it's easy scripting language and most of the major ace attorney features are in it (such as perceive and psychelocks). It already has a few cases available for download (such as Turnabout Substitution or Turnabout Scapegoat.) The negative things about Pywright is that it doesn't really simulate most of AA's features very well but this will change in future releases.

Ace Attorney Online: Simple, quick and already has heaps of cases. The best thing with this case maker is that you don't have to script. All you have to do is click the interface, and another million buttons before you have a case. The downside is that you can't save and while it has a general Ace Attorney feel, it doesn't look like a Capcom created game.

Calculator Case maker for TI83/84: A good casemaker for the TI83/84 calculators but for long, expected games with sprite requests? Not the best option. It has a user-friendly interface so it's easy to choose what to do but it's still in early developing stages.

AADS: Ace Attorney for the DS. Run it on a flashcard then start building. It sounds great and the previous versions were quite good. It's got an interface but some things can be confusing about it.

I read over your request in the request thread and saw you were going to go with(Mechabowser's) Case Maker. I hope you have changed from that as it isn't appreciated here and any games made on it or threads will be locked.

I hope this helps.

Ptapcc forgot to mention one thing. I'm always available to help with any issues. So choosing pwlib won't be only reply on tutorials, making using it easier too.
Also, that said, asking will make using PWLib a lot easier (Ptapcc is a good example of that).

I would definitely recommend it as it simulates most of the AA features brilliantly. You also as I said have a comprehensive tutorial and if you still don't understand, ask KSA Technology. Ha, that's true. I've been asking a bit lately and every time I ask, PWlib becomes easier. You should also download DDRKhat's Case1-1 recreation and have a look at the programming.

Of course, it's your ultimate decision in the end. Whether you wish to go with Pywright or PWlib, I won't complain. Just when you are going to decide on the final casemaker you'll use, make sure you take into consideration the positive and negative aspects of them.

Yeah the website won't respond for some reason. If I can find a way to get to the site I'll get PWLib, but I gotta stick to PyWright in any other case.

Then it's totally useless to get PWLib.

I was going to look on the PWLib topic for a download link with all 1.1 ready for use (someone did upload that, I recall of that), but now it's not going to ever be needed here.

It is highly sad to see when someone doesn't even try the thing and goes on deciding already. It is this kind of attitude that i hate on CR. 0% respect, to say the least.

I hate to be negative, but what you've been doing so far has been really annoying. I told you in my first post that you should update your first post to be more 'case like', by posting Case details, box art, summary , back story etc however the only thing you did was provide Wikipedia profiles for the characters.

Also, your choice of casemaker. I do not dislike Pywright (in fact I originally went with it) however you've just ignored PWLib and even with the advice of KSA Technology, have not done anything to download it. Have you tried searching the PWLib thread for that direct download? Or going to the webpage? Or actually trying it in another browser (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer etc). As KSA Technology said, it's sad to see someone decide which casemaker they are using before trying others because they are probably too lazy to actually search for it.

I apologize once again if I was being rude however I was quite angry at your response.

He's following the rules. He doesn't have to tell you what the case is going to be about, especially if it's secret.

Also guys, can you be a bit less forceful? I know that it's not fair if he dismisses PWlib out of hand, but you can't make him by pestering him about it. If he doesn't want to use it, that's his problem. XD

Ah I apologize then. Disregard my last remarks Jayrock. I had assumed that everyone had to post details of the cases as I had seen in many other fan games however looking over the rules again, I see not.
