Yes clearly Badd has the Talent to play all the parts of the Gavinners simultaneously, write all their songs AND be a top-notch criminal crime squad member as well.
The writers just didn't have him in AJ4 as he would have made Gavin and Daryan redundant.

During Case 3 you can see the stage is set up for the Gavinners including the Red 'Bad Badger' guitar you can see in the dressing room in GS4-3.

Badd is simply great. First time a speaked with him i thought he was smoking...but later it was just a lolly pop. I would like him much more if he was smoking. It is that classic veteran detective style!
