I'd love to apply, however I'm not sure I'm going to have much time, especially with college coming back.
I'm quite fluent with English (and can spot anomalies and any sentence that would sound weird) and played all of the localized Ace Attorney games.
i could be indeed of some use,but maybe a person who studied literature would be better ?
best regards :redd:

Heh, this is probably very unlikely but I wonder what would happen if Capcom finally announced localization of AAI2, just when the fan-translation is near its final stages.

Something like this happened a long time back when AA1 had just come out. As I recall there was a website that was translating the GBA version of AA3 before Capcom said anything about translating the second or third games. When the games' announcement was made, the guy running the website wanted to continue anyway, but interest waned until he pretty much gave up after finishing the first case.

Bizarrely enough this was my first introduction to the Ace Attorney series. I'd just put a GBA emulator on my PSP and was looking for something to play, somehow ended up with the partially translated Gyakuten Saiban 3 on there.

Loved the first case, hunted down the series from the beginning.

I was supposed to be a localiser for this, feel bad but I don't really have the time anymore. I could make some if I really pushed myself, but I'd be struggling to fit localising sessions into my schedule; and the process is quite lengthy. I wouldn't enjoy it right now, and that's why I wanted to do this in the first place really - because I love the series and love writing.

Hopefully other people step up, I've got a partially translated ROM with the first two cases translated and it's top quality. Almost forget it wasn't a Capcom-translated game at first, had to keep reminding myself.

I'm tempted to apply myself but I don't know how much time I could dedicate to the project. I do like to write and having my name in some credits would be cool.

On the other hand, I'm uncertain about wanting to spoil the game.

I signed up for it. Not only do I like writing, but I also want to play Ace Attorney Investigations 2 as much as anyone here. I already know most of the plot, so I'm perfectly okay with spoilers.

If you don't want to spoil the game and/or have no time to work on it, you really don't have to sign up. We have 100+ applicants already, and are only taking a few slowly. So don't worry about not being able to contribute if you just don't have the time, or don't want to spoil the game for yourself.

(a fresh user/fan here)

I'm really glad that there is some fan-translation going on, I was considering watching some translation of AAI2 on You Tube to know the plot but if there will be a possibility to actually play the game, I'm going to wait patiently.

I'd love to apply but I'm not a native speaker so clearly my English is far from perfect (sometimes I think it's even far from decent, I hope I'm not making too many errors).

I have two questions.
Is there any site where translation group posts news about progress of the project?
Does anyone know whether there are any references to AAI2 in GS5? I wonder is it necessary to play AAI2 before GS5 to fully experience the game.

If you've got that many applicants, it might be time to close applications. Too many cooks and all that. :shoe:

You know what? This sounds like fun. I'm good at grammar, and I REALLY want everyone to finally be able to play this game, so I'll sign up.

It wasn't that long ago, so don't worry about that. From what I've seen, it'll be about 2, 3 or more teams of 10. Right now only 10 have gotten replies, so don't worry about not getting a reply, there are hundreds of aplications, so if you don't get chosen, that means there probably were just people better suited than you. :phoenix: (Not to say you aren't good enough, I have no idea, lol)

We're taking a few at a time every once in a while. Nothing concrete. We're really slowing down our acceptances though now since we have a solid team currently, and like Bolt said we don't want to accept to many people.

What username did you apply under? I searched the applications and coudn't find yours. Also, just so you know I don't control who gets accepted or not, I just organized the application process.
