BY THE ART GURU:

For any digital images that you have to post anywhere online, if they are static (does not have animations)... for Lord's sake
CONVERT/SAVE IT AS A PNG FILE!!!! PNG (Portable Network Graphic or whatever you wanna say it) IS BETTER THAN JPEG ONES, YOU HEAR ME?!?!?

BMP IMAGE IS HUGE IN SIZE (DON'T USE THIS MODE) AND
JPEG SPOILS A MAGNIFICENT PICTURE BECAUSE OF IMAGE DITHERINGS!!!!!!!!

^ You are GREATLY mistaken. While PNGs allow a clear background, they are lossless, that means they can shoot up to many many MB of size and more. It is wise to save files done in, say, Paint, with very few shades of colours used, as their quality remains perfect and they only take up a few KB. JPGs have a quality assigned to them (which you can change upon saving, as well. Photoshop provides an excellent Quality scale for jpegs, for example). There is a reason why there are different types of files. Their usefulness is situational.

Please research better before you patronise others, especially in such a blatant post. As well, editing away the artist's name from your avatar barely adds to your credibility as an "art guru". It was done by Saskia Gutekunst, as I told you before, and she should be given appropriate credit. For some reason, suddenly, when I told you the first time, her name disappeared from the image. I find that very disrespectful.

I despise Adobe for not being compatible with most PCs so use other programs instead; i.e. use only compatible programs for your PC so that you won't eat your heart out of the frustrations that an incompatible program will cost you... That's my rule

Yeah I don't use Adobe because my platform is not Windows or Mac or Linux so that's what I have experienced by using JPG format.

No need to despise Adobe. That's one of my rules, to get back on-topic. :P How can it be the program that's "incompatible" with your PC? From what I've heard, Adobe is one of the most respected software companies in the world and their products are milestones. *SHRUG*

Photoshop was just an example. No hard feelings, but my points stand.

I'll keep on changing my av and/or sig as long as there's someone objecting its existence... that's my rule.
Spoiler: to Ethed,
AND as I said EARLIER, her version is not permissible as an av 'coz it contained spoiler of Godot's final look without the visors, so I took one whole day to remove the spoiler element from the image and even refine jagged parts in the artwork, including minor lighting at certain angles as well as recorrecting the facial anatomy as close as reality as possible.

"I find that very disrespectful" - I did not intend that 'disrespectful'-ness as you depicted me to be. I love the artwork that she has done because Godot in the artwork is painfully a coincidence in my life (in reality) looks exactly like my ex (Now you must not object this preference! Discrimination is so inhuman) & I feel a deep connection to the man in the artwork....

I don't see him as Godot anymore. He was an intellectual person & doesn't speak much back in my college years that many other boys envy. They think he's just plain arrogant and I never knew things would end tragically.

So, one fateful day the boys cornered him (they beat him up) and the final move was that one boy carried a cleaver and slashed right underneath his eyes (the exact place of Godot's scar). The rest of the case is history... telling you this is very depressing but you really do push me to this point!!!!!!!!

Spoiler: GS3, re: Naruhodou's post
Oh yeah, first of all, I don't know if you misunderstood your art tutor or he actually said that - but then he is greatly mistaken. It's like saying "GO BY PLANE WHEREVER YOU GO. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS". Walking distance? Take the plane. Schoolbus? To hell with that, GET THE JET ALREADY. Picking your file format as well as your traveling method is entirely situational. Next time, too, be clearer about the "Art Guru" thing if you don't want to be misunderstood. Placing it at the start of your post without any context in combination with your back then explicit signature easily leads the reader to believe you are talking about yourself.

Now, in response to your post, I believe you're pushing it a little too far. It wasn't the scar below Godot's eyes alone that was spoilerish, it was Godot entirely without his visor. While removal of even strongly characteristic accessories or pieces of clothing alone may not be an unusual / specifically intended thing to do to a character , in this case, it happens to be a strong clue to the last case. It doesn't matter if you spent a whole day or five minutes changing that, it's the final product that counts here. Spoilers are serious business, especially in a community devoted to a video game. I still find it disrespectful that as soon as I tell you to credit the original artist because her first name already appears on the artwork, it disappears. Poof. No reaction to that, either. Instead I get a GROTESQUELY misplaced "if the admins haven't said anything, then it must be ok!". Your intention unfortunately doesn't matter in this case - not giving credit when the information is available (I've given it to you!) to you is strongly disrespectful, especially to the art community on the internet who are dealing with theft, plagiarism and all kinds of deliberate infringements on a daily basis. You as an artist (afaik) should know that.

Why the hell would I "discriminate" you, and why in God's name would I say "NO YOUR EX CAN'T LOOK LIKE GODOT!" - I have a brother that looks like Diego myself. So bloody what? If you must carry his image with you - and this is neither heartless nor insensitive to say - then make sure it's not a spoiler, not even remotely close to one. No further dramatic exaggeration needed. Not everybody reading this forum will know about your history and - this is no insult, it's how it is - not everybody will care. No spoilers and no drama. That's my rule.

A prediction: Maya Fey will return in GS5. Why? Come on, eh? I doubt Phoenix would ditch the Magatama, and therefore, he should still keep in contact with her (And according to the GS4 character page, he keeps contact with his friends still).

Dude,
Spoiler: 3-5
Godot is dead by GS4's official start! lol. I mean, come on! He killed a person, you don't think he'd be tried for his crimes? I doubt he'll return... though if he did, the PW fans would welcome him back with gallons of coffee. lol.

Oh sorry. :sadshoe: I wasn't really dissing it. I understand some people would like it to happen, but I would be sad if it really happened. I think the exsistance of the "old characters" should be only hinted in the game and the characters would never appear again in the series (until Apollo's arc is over that is). Phoenix and Ema (and the other ones in AJ:AA) are enough IMO.

Oh, there is no need to ask for that. I understand you. I was unhappy too that the Phoenix arc was over after finishing T&T but at the same time I was happy that Phoenix Wright Trilogy got an ending it really deserved.

Now I'm anxiously waiting for AJ:AA and I think it will be better without Maya and others (although she is one of my favorite characters).

Apollo's debut is a must have!

Now that there's a Pearl Fey emot. as the avatar, I honestly don't want to say anything mean... but since it's the one used when she totally BURRRRNS Franziska, I can still be somewhat cruel.

GS4 characters will be greatly appreciated, but if you smiled at ALL when Ema Skye returned, then you forfeit your right to "returning characters shouldn't mask the new ones". I mean, it happens on TV all the time, so why not on here too? Now, here's a few things:

1. Maya will return, and it would be confusing for her NOT to... that, or maybe she's mentioned once or twice in GS5?

2. Franziska will not return. It's been 7 years and her "Prodigy" hook has basically lost its point, to be honest. I think she would probably have a future with...

3. Miles Edgeworth. Would I like to see him again? Not without a knife with me. Sorry, but in PW1, he started losing his edge.
Spoiler: Edgeworth spoilers
In JFA, he lost his newer edge, leaving the dull one of the past. And in T&T? The "Worth" started to leave too, leaving nothing of him....... wow, I AM an arse.
Alright, sure, MAAAYBE he can make a cameo again like he did in the previous 2 games...?

4. Pearl Fey... You know what? Bring her back! That's the only one I would be looking forward to, to be perfectly honest!... assuming her character isn't completely mentally crushed from the events of GS3 (and if she isn't, I'll cry for one full day, moon to moon).

5. Mia Fey. Unless another Fey is there, don't even think about it. I'm not willing to risk seeing a random plot twist where Minuki is a Fey! :raygun:

I smiled a lot when I heard Ema returned. I don't know about the new characters because I have yet to play the game, but I'm still thinking I'm going to prefer having only them and not the old ones. Ema was only a side kick in 1-5, so that really doesn't count. If she would have had a bigger role, I wouldn't like to see her again, but since that wasn't the case, I love to see her. She's one of my favourite characters. Maya is one too, but I still hope she doesn't appear in GS5.
