Also... A pirate, a gothic loli.. Well, I must say she looks good in both. Personally, I don't think she can be considered a gothic lolita in her normal clothes, but if we add some dresses etc... XD

Feel free to request, dear; just be aware that you'll have to wait for it. Drawing pictures costs me a lot more time than before, mostly because of lineart problems.

Do any of you guys know a good program to make a nice, smooth lineart? I've already tried Photoshop, Open Canvas 1.0 and Flash. Before, I was using Paint Tool Sai. Too bad it was a trial version, I miss that program so much!

I have a program called GIMP. It's a free program that works good for everything!
I just got a tablet. (See ma sig? *points at "This is CR" sig* Dat's how good I are! 8D) It works well with GIMP. If you want to you can try that. And it's 100% free so you wouldn't lose anything for trying it![/infomercial]

I used the fat brush for my sig. As far as fine detail goes, all of my sprite edits are made in GIMP.
I hope that helps!

I say Photoshop xD

I'm under the assumption that Sui has a tablet. Using their default brushes, you can make extremely smooth lines. Just make sure you have pen pressure adjusted to how much you press. Painter is more of a natural program. It tries to simulate brush strokes as if you were doing something traditionally. Their pen tools don't work well unless it's a high resolution image. As for their pencil tool, it's good for sketches and such. They don't exactly have a smooth brush tool >:

Photoshop, on the other hand, has a hard round brush that's good for inking and linearts. But you know, SAI's a really nice program for making images look inked traditionally > u <

Oh...actually PT have some very smooth brushes but...it's still hard to learn. I only use it for drawing background...OTZ

I love OC best(and 4.06 version is my favourite :3), but the color is quite dark so I have to adjust arts in PS at the end. I used PS a lot...but now I think it's kindda...not that perfect.Maybe it's just me~~

(Never used Sai, though...it scared me the first time I tried to install the programme because it asked for scanning the systemImage)

JASC Paintshop. Because GIMP for Windows has some issues.

One of the issues includes exiting before you manage to save all of your work.
I tearfully say goodbye to my heavily edited femme Edgeworth sprite.

Wow, I didn't expect that much suggestions! Thank you, everyone, I hope the programs you've suggested will help me making a good lineart <3

I've already tried using Photoshop, without a very good effect; the edges of the lines were smooth, that had to be said, but the lines always came out looking 'square-y', if I can use that verb.

I really enjoyed using OpenCanvas, the lines didn't follow every movement of my tablet, which was really useful. But the newer versions don't work good on my computer, they have a tendency to randomly clone when I'm working - it made me lost the inspiration to draw many times.

I haven't used JASC Paintshop, CP or GIMP - I'll be sure to check them out! <3

Also, Saori, you're right - I use a tablet.

If that was the case, most likely there was too much pressure on it. Photoshop brushes are arc-shaped if applied with the correct pressure but tend to go blocky/ stiff if placed with too much. I tried drawing something in Painter IX a few minutes ago. The program's pencil tool is really creamy and if you make a large lineart and resize it smaller, it looks smooth.

You're welcome, Suhi. :3

GIMP is fair, hope that it doesn't crash (exits without saving) on your mobo.

So, you gotta try it first. Hopefully it gets along well with your PC/notebook/whatever's specs.

I think you must be using an older GIMP Ryu. I don't have any problems at all with mine, and I'm using Windows.

It looks really good, I must say. I'm used to work on big images, so I think making lineart like this won't be too hard. ...are these little hens from Harvest Moon maybe?

Oh, I'd be very grateful if you did, Tues!

About OC... Which version are you talking about? The pencil(?) tool is much more watercolor-y in the first versions than in the newer ones, as I noticed. <:3

It'll be a little harder for me to do the lineart, but I'm not going to stop drawing. My mouse isn't that bad, after all.

I'm currently drawing a little picture with my mouse, to check my mouse drawing abilities. You can see it HERE. It's unfinished, but I think it's not that bad for a mouse, right?

Oh, and a completely random thing: People at a certain oekaki are badgering me with accusations of lying about my birthplace, because I'm writing in English and not in Polish. How cute.

It's not responding correctly. I guess I'll have to buy a new one.

They don't work? Strange, seeing as they work for me. Try to type "Maalata Oekaki" in Google, it's the first result. And no, it's a Polish art community. My nickname is in Japanese, because they're picky about Japanese words there.

Since my tablet's broken, I had even more problems with drawing lineart. Upon seeing the awesome vectors of Jade Edgeworth, I decided to try this style. It's easier for mouse users and looks pretty nice.

This is the picture requested by Doctor(whose OC is cute <3). I have a version without the backround, if you wish.
