People keep suggesting it and in 4-3, Apollo does sense Machi is lying but cannot percieve him (the detention centre was closing). So, it could work, I suppose. I believe it would work much like the magatama but with one "lock" that you still cannot see.

Now that you've said it, I think I'd agree with you more. Besides, pressing with the Perceive would work the same way as breaking Psyche - Locks with the Magatama; you would get the witness to admit to something.

I love the Brushel animosity but it's true, really while I'd like to see Perceive used more the main points of interest on anyone were hands and face and that worked true for most, I'm not sure what else they'll add I'll need to count on their ingenuity.

I agree, having the sprites twitch unnoticeably is a great idea. But the only flaw I see here is that if the player finds out about the twitch, it would make the perceive less interesting. Still, it's a great idea for me.

Of course he'd not be using the magatama so theres no psych locks...but percieve does sound like a silly name to me. Meh his bracelet would simply tingle when someone is lieing then he'd open up with the evidence and twitch finding.

It already doesn't, PW1 was done without a 'tool'. AJ1 has introduced a tool, I'm a little concerned they won't use the bracelet outside of court since the option was there in AJ1 but...maybe it just skipped their mind or they didn't have time...all the same I expect we'll see more of it in AJ2.

Well, my Idea about GK5 would be called "forget the court sometimes".
I think I can it better explain if I tell you the basic story what gave me basicaly this idea:
After the startcase of GK 5, Phönix is missing, and, Apollo has to find him, not only because of Trucy, but there seems to be someone who seems to want to kill them (Phönix and the people he live with).
That means, at the start of the next cases, it wouldn'T be just "hey, I have a new defendant-BLA", it would be an Invastigation-phase in which you would have to trace some of Phönix tracks, and find people he knows. But there are two, or maybe 3 diffrent ways you can take, like:
if you decide to go find person a (for example:
) you would met her, and get some special clues and evidences about Phönix only he or she has, or you decide to search for person b (for example: 
), you would get clues and evidances only that person has, what will be later needed in the final case (Like: The clues you get from this person 
would help you more in the last case than the clues from 
.But that would't mean that there would be any wrong decisions, but some things you get make the final case easier for you, and some do not.).
Well, but during this invastigating, you would finally meet your next defendant (who wouldn't be affected by the person you choosed to find), and than we would have the regular gameplay again, maybe spiced up with some new mechanic.
with this kind of gameplay every fanboy and -girl would get to know what happend to his or hers favorit Character, and the chases would'nt just be again only about Phönix and his gang again.
Please say if my English was just horribly wrong, I've to get used to this langugae, again >.<

Sounds familiarly like Remnants of the Past where the information from the first cases would be used in the last. Still, the whole game revolving on one event would be quite confusing. You can still connect the cases together but I think it would look better if it were like GS3 and GS4, where you can separate linked cases. You still need some room for other cases, that is. After all, this would be the last game in the series.
I like your idea of bringing back most of the characters of the Phoenix arc, though.

Kamen Godot - I like the idea of starting the investigation before you get a defendant at all. But only for one case. It's been done several times before like that, too. However, I don't agree on different people giving you different clues. The GS/GK series have always been and always will be a very linear game. I don't think they'd ever even imagine making it non-linear.
Also. No bringing back old characters or the children of old characters or their sibling or their arch-rival or ANYTHING. This is Apollo's arc. If anything they'd have a cameo, or someone mentions something about them but NOTHING by name. Please.

well, my idea was about making a story, where we could see old characters from PW's Arc and get to know what happened to them in the past 8 jears, but not let them overshadow the new cast and possible new Characters for Apollo's run.
It would be like:
Invastigation phase "find Phönix" -> get some informations about a person Phönix knew -> find that person and talk to him/ her -> get Clues and informations -> found person says good bye -> Apollo and Trucy than find there new defendant who hasn't anything to do with the person you've found. - -> nomral case as alwys with apollo and Trucy finding some new friends or/and foes.
The "Find Phönix" invastiagtions could also maybe used to introduce a new Game mechanic (Like the thing with the fingerprints from PW1) and let the player get to used to it during this special invastigation part.)
Also, they could maybe use it to give this Series a kind of replay-thing, like:
If you searched for special persons, you woould get a diffrent prosecutor in the final case.
for example:
- Normal last case with the new prosecutor for this game 
- you face off against Franziska von Karma in the final case
(mia - I didn't get how to use her smilie ^^; ) - You face of against edgeworth in the final case.about the thing beeing GS5 beeing the last game of this series:

I'd really rather keep the whole Fey family out of it.
No offence to them but it'd just be one more step to edging Apollo out while everyone goes and focuses on Nick.
And AJ1 didn't do Apollo any favours either you know? He needs a bit of limelight.

Maybe we'll see a return from Lana but not as a prosecutor but as a detective at most. Annnyway, I really do hope Phoenix plays a bigger role than he did in GS4. Okay so, introducing HoboHodo was a real crazy move and got some attention but that's resolved, If Capcom wants to draw something new then they need to focus on new systems and ways of investigating.
What im thinking of is a way to sneak a lawyer Phoenix and Apollo in the game. Actual courtroom proceedings depict more than one person on the defense, usually like 2 or 3 people. So perhaps some kind of tag team system? Not like Mia for Phoenix in trials, where she justs watches and waits for us to practically lose THEN interrupts but 2 great lawyers striving to get to the truth! Not sure how its gonna work but I'll think about that.
Seeing Phoenix work could also speed up Apollo's development as a lawyer too.
As far as new ways to investigate go I heard that the director, or somethin, of GK offered his help so its possible we'll some buffed versions of play from Gyakuten Kenji. Also, IF they plan to implement the jurist system I have no idea how that's going to work. They cant possibly be thinking that WE be allowed to choose the verdict right? xD

This topic is 43 pages long, so chances are some variation of what I'm about to say has already been said. But I'd like to say it anyway:
Though I'm sure there's no way in hell this will happen, I would love if GS5 were a prequel to the Phoenix Wright trilogy. More specifically, I'd love it to be Mia Fey: Ace Attorney. It could take place after the events of 3-1 and follow her growing career as a defense attorney. She was lauded in the first Phoenix Wright game as being one of the best lawyers of the country, and I'm interested in seeing how she attained that title. Also:

It'll never happen, but it'd be cool if it did.More realistically though, even though I love Phoenix, I would REALLY prefer a sequel to Apollo Justice. Only because I want to learn more about Apollo. I felt like Apollo wasn't fully developed (character-wise) in the first game, IMHO. He kinda got shafted by Phoenix's story. I'd like to see a game about Apollo that's main focus is actually on Apollo.
